Rural Nursing and Health Conference

Nurse Organization (RNO) and Decker School of Nursing, Binghamton University ... the International Rural Nursing and Health Conference will be held
October 5, 6, 7, 2011 at the Holiday Inn Arena in Binghamton, NY. The conference
theme is: Canopy of Health Care for Rural and Underserved Populations: Strengthening the Root System.

Silent Auction - FUN, FUN, FUN
A silent auction will be held during the dinner at the Rural Nurse Conference in Binghamton, New York during the dinner and music presentation. Proceeds from the auction will support rural research grants. Conference Participants please bring items from your home state that will fit in suitcases. Suggested items worth $25.00 or more include: Antique or new nursing books, clothing, or equipment, jewelry, gift baskets, paintings, conference registrations, services, travel items, trips, hotel and restaurant certificates, gifts, decorations, wine, leather items, foods, accessories, candles, cooking items, and cookbooks. Rural Nurse Service Award - The nomination deadline for honoring extraordinary service in rural nursing is fast approaching. Check the website for details. The award will be presented during the dinner on Thursday October 6, 2010.
Research Grant - RNO received a donation for awarding a research grant. The first award will be given October 6, 2011 during the October Conference in Binghamton, New York. Check the website for proposal details and deadlines.
